    1. I keep seeing reviews comparing the writing to Greene and LeCarre. Stewart's books sadly lack really compelling characters, I would equate this and the subsequent book to more like historical fiction that hasn't happened yet or an odd form of parable. Wrapping observations on realpolitik in some characters who go to places that make it easy to tell a narrative. Honestly would have been better as a series of articles in The Atlantic or The Guardian as straight non-fiction but the plotline wasn't [...]
