    1. I can't give any art anthology anything less than four stars, especially if I've been to multiple exhibitions. However, I think it's important to point out that Degas often painted his models in awkward positions: positions ungraceful and even painful for the dancers; and positions that were precarious (one step away from slipping and falling) for the bathers. I was surprised when Misty Copeland recreated some of Degas' paintings, because of course she posed with a grace and confidence that Dega [...]
