    1. Not bad exactly, but the main female was especially unpleasant initially. Luckily she grew up before I gave upon her.

    3. Emmy was a spoiled young girl. I started to read the book and was sure I was not going to like it. I disliked Emmy. Then the book got good. Emmy grew up. Cassie redeemed her for me. She still had a few moments of tstl but they were over shadowed by humor. The main characters together was fun reading about and I really loved the sheriff. His sadness seemed real and touched my heart. I loved this book.

    4. The first reaction most have when they see “sweet” in the title is “This is going to be a DULL book”. You will be surprised with Emmy. It is actually a good book. A well written book that is believable. In places it is funny and entertaining. It is somewhat of a mystery. Most of all it is a good story to read after something heavy. If you decide to read it make sure you have enough free time because you will not want to put it down.

    5. Sour turns sweetEmmy is a spoiled brat; Mason is a no-nonsence sheriff. When those two get together it is one heck if a ride. This book has a lot of plot twists but the most shocking comes toward the end. You just don't see it coming. Ms. Hayes tells a great story that has action, arguments, gun fights, and romance with no explicit sex scenes. This is a great book for readers of good, clean historical romance.

    6. This was a ridiculous version of a mail order romance. The h was beyond annoying and hateful. I skimmed to get to the predictable end. The characters were unbelievable and the scenarios were unrealistic.

    7. Good mail order bride read!Good mail order bride read the writer stays on mark and leaves you hanging st the end of the chapter makes me look forward to next chapter, hard to put down

    8. A very spoiled Emmy travels west as a mail order bride not knowing the groom was a robber and a murderer. Mason the sheriff of the town finds himself holding her unconscious body right after the wedding. What happened to the groom?

    9. A Sweet Mail Order BrideYes this was a sweet story that told a story about a mail order bride that really grew up during this story. She did not get the young man she thought was hers but oh she got the best of the men and she got love and respect for him and from him.

    10. This ended entirely too fast!!!This was a quick read meaning I couldn't put the book down I was turning the pages so fast eager to read what happened next. The characters were well built and unique causing me to fill a relationship to each one.

    11. A good readThis was a really good story and I especially liked the fact that the author can tell a good story without the need for sex scenes or vulgar language! It was very simplistic and somewhat unrealistic, but I was very entertained.

    12. For a love story Emmy was good.I normally read mostly thrillers and mysteries but this afternoon my younger sis recommend Emmy to me and I really enjoyed it for a change. I think most any reader will too.

    13. Historical Western RomanceI gave this book a 5 star rating because I enjoyed the story!!!!! I think you will enjoy the story also!!!!!

    14. Loved itLove the mail order bride books because they show the strength of our ancestors. This one takes a spoiled girl and makes her a strong woman.
