    1. The strength of this book is in its convincing portrayal of how sensible, ordinary people can be drawn into cults. The characters are well drawn and rounded and interest maintained by the unfolding narrative. Quite powerful.

    2. The Revelationists are a new religious group which have appeared in Shillingham and currently seem to be attracting a lot of interest. DCI Webb instinctively distrusts them and when his female inspector - Nina Petrie offers to investigate undercover he agrees, with reservations. Then his attention is diverted to an unidentified dead man discovered in a local hotel room. But could the two cases be connected? And is Nina getting too involved and what precisely is it that attracts followers to this [...]

    3. Pretty Scary Stuff,There are no spoilers in this review, although the Editorial review pretty much covered everything. I have been a longtime reader of Anthea Fraser books, getting them from the library in the 1990s. I am sure we can all look back to the lead-up to the clocks ticking over to 0000, and that planes would fall out of the sky as computer systems round the world crashed. Microsoft sent out CDs with 'patches', and computer technicians worked frantically to try to stabilise systems. Cu [...]

    4. Part of the DCI David Webb series but can be read as a stand alone. This is a fairly dark book focusing on a religious cult and how people of all ages and walks of life get caught up in it. Quite a disturbing ending but well worth reading. I will definitely be reading more of this series.

    5. A cult has set up in Shillingham and DCI Webb is concerned. Hannah also becomes concerned when she learns two of her students have been there. Nine Petrie goes undercover to find out if anything nefarious is going on. Soon she is getting seduced into the group. Meanwhile, a dead body shows up at a hotel. Suspicion seems to fall on the cult. But are they really involved? If so, how? Webb and his team figure out the truth.Good writing and story.
