    1. ARC provided by the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Well I wished for a wonderful, romantic-suspense lite with humor, romance and a touch of mystery, and I got exactly that. Elle James has got it all and a voodoo oh-no in Deja Voodoo. This is #3 in the series and I will need to find the other if they are anything like this one. I absolutely love it.Alex Boyette comes from a family with 19 kids, she is a successful busi [...]

    2. ****ARC provided by Romance Beckons via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.****I really enjoyed this book and I didn't feel like I needed to read the first two books to understand this book. I really like this book about Alex (girl) and Ed. Though I don't really like the name Ed. If anything I would prefer Eddie (you know, like Eddie Chavez from KA's Rock Chick Rescue). Once I got over the names - with Alex that sounds like a boy's name and Ed a name I didn't like and had to try to repla [...]

    3. This book takes place in one of my favorite places in the world. Louisiana. This book was a very enjoyable read. It was relaxing, easy to understand and enjoyable. The story moved along at a very good pace, from beginning to end and I was upset when it ended as I needed more Cajun magic.Elle James has created a unique world with interesting characters that you want to see succeed.I look forward to more Cajun magic from Elle James hopefully sometime soon.

    4. I was struggling to figure out just how I was going to review this book when I came across this passage from the book:Being in love with a man who turned back into a dog was a much bigger hurdle to overcome than being in love with a man who lived in a different city. I kid you not. That is an actual passage from this book, and in those words you can see exactly what you can expect from this story. This is not a bad book. It isn't a struggle to read it. But I think you have to be in a certain fr [...]

    6. Deja Voodoo (Cajun Magic #3) by Elle James* I received a copy of this book from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review*Alex has everything in life she wants, her own home, a business that she loves and plenty of friends and family. Now that her brother Ben has moved to New Orleans it’s up to her to help her mom take care of her brothers and sisters. Her life is full and she doesn’t have time for romance but Ed makes her start to realize that there is something missing in her l [...]

    7. Reading the synopsis of this title I knew I was in for something quirky and different than most of the other PNR’s I generally read. It definitely proved true. Deja Voodoo being the third installment in her Cajun Magic series it provided sufficient enough back-story to connect the books, but not too much that it hindered the reading of Alex and Ed’s story.Alex grew up in a large family of nineteen kids. Being one of the eldest she helped raise her younger siblings while work to carve a life [...]

    8. A little magic goes a long way… Alexandra Belle Boyette is closing in on the big 3-0 and her mama has made it her mission to marry her off. In the tiny parish of Bayou Miste, deep in the Louisiana swamps, finding suitable hubby material can be a challenge—and Alex would rather not rely on magical spells to do the trick. But there is a sexy new man in town who might fit the bill Ed Marceaux is in Bayou Miste to safeguard a key witness to a Louisiana Mafia murder. He must keep an eye out for s [...]

    9. 3.5 starsDeja Voodoo is the third book in Elle James's Cajun Magic series and was just as much fun to read as the previous books. These stories don't need to be read in order as they all feature a different main couple but you will find familiar characters re-appearing throughout the series and in this case our heroine Alex is the sister of Ben, the hero from Voodoo for Two. This is a really light hearted series full of hunky Cajun heroes and just a hint of magic but I think the thing I enjoy mo [...]

    10. Alexandra thinks her life is moving pretty smoothly but her momma wants her to get marry and settle down. That is not what Alex wants. She has a good business and helps take care of her brothers and sisters. Ed is in the Louisiana bayou to help keep a witness safe. He has to blend in with the locals and keep an eye out for trouble. This is an ordinary bayou. A voodoo queen likes to help the locals with their problems and is training her replacement. Magic can sometimes go a little crazy and spel [...]

    11. So, short of me thinking this was not very suspenseful for a book labeled as such…I really liked it! I think this is my first Elle James book and I will definitely be back for more in the future. I found Deja Voodoo to be well wrote, the characters likable and the story line interesting and quirky.Ed has a job to do. Go undercover in the small parish of Bayou Mist and find out if anyone else has been snooping around the area where his federal witness has been stashed. Easily done until a woman [...]

    12. Review will post on my blog on the 24-June. Posting now here to .This was a thrilling read! Hot, steamy romance, great action, and characters who really leap off the page with their personalities. I have to admit, I fell in love with the Boyette clan. Their names, their personalities, their adoration and love for one another. Alex is an independent woman who adores and loves her family and owns a gym. She helps her mother out with her siblings, is a steadfast friend, but despite her protestation [...]

    13. I couldn't stop laughing in places and didn't want to put this one down. This is book 3 in the Cajun Magic Mystery series but it can also be read as a stand-alone. I was enchanted by the first book in this series, I liked the second one and this one had me laughing out loud in places (just like the first book). Alex doesn't have time for a relationship. She has her own business to run and 18 brothers and sisters that keep her busy. Since her father passed away she tries to help her mother as much [...]

    14. “Deja Voodoo” is a romance intertwined with voodoo mystery and crime set in Bayou Miste, a fictive city in Louisiana and therefore the Cajun swamps. Twisted Page Inc re-published this book in March 2016, the first edition was in June 2014.Alexandra Belle Boyette, short Alex, works in her own fitness studio and has a small house of her own. Plus 18 siblings and a mother who tries to fix Alex up with every eligible bachelor she is able to find. Her newest find is Ed Marceaux, a co-worker of on [...]

    15. 4 Voodoo infused stars!I truly enjoyed Elle James’ Déjà Voodoo and the story the brought to life magic and love. The third installment in the series, it continued with the feel and voice of the prior two books. However, this one had a little bit more spunk to it.Alex Boyette is the oldest girl of 19 children, successful in business, owns her own house, but her mom refuses to let her single life continue to happen. Constantly being set up at family dinners, Alex is not thrilled to follow thro [...]

    16. This is the 1st book I’ve read from Elle James! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I would say I would give this book a 3.5 stars. :) This story takes place in Louisiana where Ed learns while he is undercover trying to keep a witness safe until the trial; he is going to meet his best friend/co-workers family which happens to be 18 people! Ed tries to blend in Louisiana and finds the area interesting… oh yes very interesting seeing a woman and her friend run in h [...]

    17. 4 1/2 stars“Deja Voodoo” by Elle James is the third novel in the entertaining ‘Cajun Magic’ series and returns the reader to picturesque Bayou Miste. Edouard (Ed) Francois Marceau is working undercover and attempting to keep a key witness under protective custody. His partner, Ben Boyette, hasn’t quite informed Ed that he has 18 siblings in all, including Alexandra (Alex) Belle Boyette, who has helped raise her 8 younger siblings. Lucie LeBieu Boyette gifts Alex with a voodoo bag which [...]

    19. ARC provided for an honest review4 Stars!I will just come to the important part… this book was great! You should read it!Deja Voodoo is fast paced and has just the right amount of everything. Funny, sexy, hot guys, suspense, best friends, magic, annoying family, love… You get everything and in the perfect dose. I liked Alex as a heroine. She is tough and independent. Although her independence can be annoying sometimes because she just drives it to the max. However I suppose it is intended lik [...]

    20. My rating: 3.5 out of 5I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. The third in the Cajun Magic series, Deja Voodoo transports us back to the Louisiana bayou, where magic and mayhem run wild! Deja Voodoo is a really cute, fun read with a terrific blend of romance, humor and just a touch of paranormal. The main characters, Alex and Ed, aren't brought together by a voodoo spell. by a matchmaking mama and a dose of insta-love (you'll have to read the book to find out who t [...]

    21. Posted on What I'm ReadingReally late last night I finished Deja Voodoo by Elle James. Part of my reasoning for wanting to read this story is that it takes place in Louisiana, which happens to be one of my favorite states. I'm actually glad I got a chance to read this story. Let me explain why:Technically the story is suppose to be suspenseful, but it didn't get suspenseful till the end. However, I found the story humorous. Now you wonder why? Well, Alexandra Belle Boyette (Alex) is one of ninet [...]

    22. Deja Voodoo was a splendid surprise. This is my first book by Elle James and was not quite sure what to expect. What I got was romantic story filled with laugh out loud scenes, hot sex, lots of quirky characters, and throw in a little mystery and action. Let's not forget to add a Voodoo spell that goes wrong! In my personal opinion the best parts of the entire book is all the personalities, starting with our main two characters. Alex and Ed first meeting is probably the funniest part of the book. [...]

    23. My review:I received an ARC of Deja Voodoo in exchange for my honest review. At first I had a hard time getting into the book. I don’t know if it’s because I hadn’t read the first two or not, but I continued reading and enjoyed it.I did feel that Ed the hero and Alex the heroine fell in love with no real reason to do so except great sex and one date. So that threw me off a bit. Plus the storyline with the dog I didn’t see a point in it besides setting up the next book.Over all it was a f [...]

    24. Full review on my blog here.Deja Voodoo tries to be cute and quirky, but somehow it just didn't pull it off for me. It never felt like we truly got into any depth in the story--I had a hard time really engaging with the characters. The drama, the suspense, the voodoo magic, the romance--it all just felt like it was glancing off of the waters of the bayou without marring the surface overmuch. Earlier books and events are alluded to (Voodoo for Two, Lucie and Ben's story and To Kiss a Frog, the fi [...]

    25. I have mixed feelings about Deja Voodoo by Elle James. There were some aspects of the story that I liked and others that I could have done without. It begins as another fun and enjoyable read. Since the end of Voodoo for Two a lot has happened. Lucie is now living in Baton Rouge and she has started her life with Ben. She is back to her old antics of creating spells. Lucie sends Alex a Voodoo charm just as another undercover agent assigned to a case arrives in Bayou Miste. So if you’re a fan of [...]

    26. This series has totally sucked me in! In this third book we focus on Alex, after years of matchmaking attempts by her mother that she has resisted. Alex is given a voodoo charm by one of her best friends, Lucie, in hopes that one day Alex will be as happy as she is being married and pregnant!! Only problem is, she wishes one night that a man would be as understanding and loyal as her dog Sport. When she wakes up, there is a naked man beside her!! Oh my! Did voodoo actually turn her dog into a fu [...]

    27. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Deja Voodoo by Elle James is Book 3 of the Cajun Magic Series. While this is part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone. I had not read the prior books and had no issues whatsoever in following along with this story. Ms. James works her magic with this one, giving us a good read that is both entertaining and captivating. Set in Louisiana, one of my all-time fav places, you will find yourself sucked in as the story centers around [...]

    28. I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review. Funny and sweet read! This is the third installment of Elle James’ Cajun Magic but can be read as a standalone. Ed is on the job protecting an important witness in an upcoming case. His partner Ben grew up in Bayou Miste and believes it is the perfect spot for them to hide out. While there, Ed is renting a cabin from Ben’s mother and is allowed the chance to me Ben’s eighteen other siblings. Alex is the oldest Boyette daughter and since [...]

    29. Deja Voodoo was a concoction containing a pinch of hot sexual tension / exchange moments, a dash of magic, a hint of humor, a smidgen of family interactions, a tad bit of Cajun dialect, a dollop of suspense to create a good entertaining summer read. This was a pretty good book, cher. Didn't read the first in series but it seems like you didn't need to for this book. Story's based in magic also peek my interest especially Louisiana based books. The secondary characters really supported the main c [...]

    30. I love anything written by Elle James, especially her Voodoo series! Her characters have spark and the humor is snarky and fun to read. When Alex's mama decides it is time to marry her off and unsuspecting Ed shows up on an investigation, magical mayhem ensues. The sex is smoking hot and just right for a Cajun flavor of bayou romance. The Boyette family is full of quirks and there is definitely a whole lot of room for things to go awry with nineteen children running about. Then there is the thin [...]
